Radioactive artificial 137Cs and natural 40K activity in 21 edible mushrooms of the genus Boletus species from SW China
This study, for the first time, presents the results of activity concentration determinations for 137Cs and 40K in a high number (21 species, 87 composite samples, and 807 fruiting bodies) of mushrooms of the genus Boletus from across Yunnan in 2011-2014 and Sichuan (Boletus tomentipes) using high-resolution high-purity germanium detector. Activity concentrations of 137Cs demonstrated some vari...
متن کاملAllosteric effects in norbadione A. A clue for the accumulation process of 137Cs in mushrooms?
A fruitful combination of potentiometry, absorption spectrophotometry, ESMS and 1H NMR enabled the characterisation of two caesium complexes with norbadione A and the determination of the respective stability constants of a mononuclear and a dinuclear caesium complex at pH approximately 6; a preliminary study allowed the assignment of five protonation sites of this pigment; a positively coopera...
متن کاملPreceramic occupations in the orinoco river valley.
Two sites in the Orinoco Valley containing preceramic from excavated contexts are described. Radiocarbon dating and stylistic comparisons indicate that the northern tropical lowlands were inhabited at the onset of the Holocene, suggesting a time depth of 9000 years before the present for tropical forest-savanna adaptations in northern South America.
متن کاملEvaluation of metal concentration and antioxidant activity of three edible mushrooms from Mugla, Turkey.
This study is designed for the determination of metal concentrations, antioxidant activity potentials and total phenolics of Amanita caesarea, Clitocybe geotropa and Leucoagaricus pudicus. Concentrations of four heavy metals (Pb, Cd, Cr, Ni) and five minor elements (Zn, Fe, Mn, Cu, Co) are determined. In the case of A. caesarea, Cr and Ni concentrations are found in a high level. Concentrations...
متن کاملthird world intellectuals in v. s. naipaul’s fiction: the mimic men, a bend in the river, magic seeds
this thesis attempts to study the representations of the third-world intellectuals in three fictional works by the british-educated trinidadian nobel-winner v. s. naipaul: the mimic men, a bend in the river, and magic seeds. the first one recounts the story of ralph singh’s sense of alienation, his experiences as a colonial politician, and his struggle to give order to his disorderly world thro...
